20 Years of Experience

Yorkshire Rose Wills and Funeral Plans is a modern and exciting company founded by Rob Firth and Ruth Wilson. It was borne from their desire to help everyone in every circumstance ensure their wishes are carried out whenever the time arises.

A Little bit about us..

A short time ago, Ruth lost a close family member in an accident and experienced first hand the difficulty of making irreversible decisions whilst trying to console other family members and grieve herself.

During the same period, Rob was helping to deal with the consequences of Parkinson Disease affecting a close family friend and the upset of not having plans in place to sort their care and finances.

Neither want anyone else to go through what they did, and it was a brief conversation some months later that brought Ruth and Rob together and the decision to set up Yorkshire Rose Wills and Funeral Plans was made. It is that desire to help people avoid the experiences that they have, that is at the heart of the company.

Ruth is an accredited member of the Society of Will Writers.

Rob is a CeMAP and CeRER qualified Mortgage and Protection Advisor, plus he is on with his Society of Will Writers accreditation.

Meet the Team

Ruth Wilson

Originally from Nottingham, Ruth is now proud to call herself a Yorkshire Lass and lives here with her soon-to-be husband Ross. Mum and step mum to 3 children means that spare time is very rare, however when possible Ruth enjoys walking the Peak District with her English Bulldog Nelly.
Family time is very important to Ruth and having a house full at weekends, means you sometimes need to bring your own chair!

Rob Firth

Being Barnsley born and bred, Rob lives with his wife Nicola and their two Labradors. An “active” member of Barnsley Harriers really means that his subs are more up to date than than his attendance record... but he’ll be back on Monday! Getting over to Filey for a walk on the beach is a great relaxer, especially with the homemade cakes at his favourite cafe at the end.
